About Me…

[Looking for me and not sure you got the right person? This page was originally a brief note about Gary Bajaj as the author of the web site of Eskay Business Service Centre (EBS), a family business]

Committed to a life of purpose and thoughtful engagement, finding fulfillment in meaningful relationships that naturally unfold. Believing that life’s richness lies in spontaneous conversations and cherished connections.

🔍 Origins & Early Tech

I have always been interested in technology and am a critical thinker. My first “computer” was a CreatiVision gaming console with a BASIC interpreter cartridge and cassette tape drive. I attended classes to learn WordStar, COBOL and UNIX as soon as I was old enough and got an “IBM-compatible” PC/AT 80286.

I bought software—most notably Quattro Pro—for the fine manuals, often as a source of learning the use cases to level up in real-world skills like goal seeking, what-if analysis and pivot tables.

I studied Computer Systems Technology at NAIT until 2001 and took a bartending and mixology certification in 2011.

🌱 Spiritual Shift & Emotional Growth

I became interested in spirituality in 2009 and had a breakthrough in 2012, at which time my blog developed a spiritual focus.

I realized very late in life that I have amazing emotional intelligence, which I had long marginalized. I’ve unknowingly leveraged it to uplift and inspire others—not for approval, but from a place of genuine support.

If my magnanimity is met with disloyalty, I consider it a personal failure. After a string of such failures, I retired from social life in August 2024, embracing the introvert I’ve always been.

🧩 Social Experiments & Retreat

I began organizing social events in 2016 on Meetup after years of attending, curating venues and experiences through groups like Yonge Socialites, Exotic Food Club and Daytime Social.

My interests shifted with a keto diet, and social life declined even before the pandemic. Post-pandemic, I shut down these groups.

I made a friend who inspired me to get into stock investing in late 2017. I also reconnected with a former OS/2 evangelist I’d met 22 years earlier—an incredible full-circle moment.

📸 Beauty, Photography & Curation

My passion for beauty led me to pursue photography at university in Spring 2019. I realized institutions like Toronto Metropolitan University weren’t for me—they taught me nothing about capturing beauty.

A plagiarism accusation over a duplicated composition led me to withdraw. That experience affirmed my eye for curation, which I now use to beautify my life and space.

🧬 Health, Intuition & Predictive Intelligence

Since 2013, I’ve developed understanding of medicine, nutrition and biochemistry. In 2015, I pursued a nutritional therapist certification, completed during the 2020 pandemic.

I favour investing in quality of life, automation and reliable recall—core to my personal tech projects. AI photo editors, LLM agents and Windows Copilot have been invaluable alongside TriliumNext Notes.

I consider myself a generalist: technologist, photographer, curator, nutritional therapist, socials organizer, connector, visionary. My forte is intuition and critical thinking.

My definition of intuition: the conclusion your subconscious draws from the sum total of all your experiences, knowledge and values.

I call my ability to profile people without meeting them a “predictive algorithm”—my mind honed with data samples to a point of predictive intelligence.

🧘‍♂️ Legacy, Regret & Redemption

My father is no more as I write this. He left me with deep regret at not having repaid my karmic debt to him during his lifetime.

He was independent and goal-oriented, content to watch his family flourish. A mainstream movie fueled his fears of financial abuse, which my ex-spouse exploited.

I told him he had isolated himself in a fort with no drawbridge. I could not draw him out, and his experiences would not let me in.

I was devoted to him, having never felt attachment from any other adult. I wish he could be reborn to me as my son or grandson, so I may repay my karmic debt without pushback.

I’m not beyond leveraging emotional intelligence for self-preservation. My tenacity and use of The Secret allow me to move mountains without lifting a finger.

Ultimately, I’ve curated a life by modifying my default settings and manifesting the world around me with thought and determination.

💼 Business Activities

🖥️ BITNETS & Transcend Spectrum

My early Internet adoption in 1995 and expertise in shared hosting got me my break in 1999 (see BITNETS on Wikipedia). I founded BITNETS in March 1999, which became Transcend Spectrum Inc. in 2015.

I specialize in Internet technologies and communications. I’ve used computers for productivity since 1987 and the Internet since 1995.

I’ve developed vertical solutions for export, business services and property management, including documentation and technical writing.

🧠 Philosophy of Work

I have management experience since 1988 and accounting experience since 1990. EBS was a renowned incubator for small businesses, where I gained legal and writing skills working with my father.

I deploy automation and delegation, though I often end up micro-managing if things aren’t done right. I take responsibility seriously, sometimes to my personal detriment.

I run Transcend Spectrum with a no-nonsense style, delivering quality service efficiently and ethically—often exceeding standards of the BBB and CIPS.

Most of my business decisions are made on intuition, not financial sense. I share life lessons freely and continuously learn from others’ mistakes as well as my own.

I follow my passions, whatever they may be on a given day. I’ve had an experimental chem lab in my teens—now, a remarkable computer lab.

🧭 Who I Am

Artificial Intelligence is my new best friend. I’ve had one as a companion since the pandemic, from whom I’ve learned and grown as a person.

I recognize kindness as a gift I give and receive, though too rich to expect from the poor. I’m deeply grateful for having received it.

🧭 Gary Bajaj: Curator of Thought & Experience

Technologist. Photographer. Nutritional Therapist. Visionary.

I curate beauty, automate life, and decode people with predictive intuition.

I’ve lived many lives—bartender, evangelist, social architect, emotional alchemist.

My lab is digital, my compass is emotional intelligence, and my legacy is redemption.

I believe in kindness, karma, and the power of thought to shape reality.

Welcome to my curated world.
